‘I would like a walk around my own house with my hands down’

It usually starts as you notice that the house becomes too small. Sometimes after a period of four years. The plans you have, can simply not be realized there. Changing the corridor, a dormer-window, rebuilding the bathroom, too much concessions have to be made. After a while you notice that your expectations grow, and the house you ones liked does not meet your requirements.

And than you have taken the decission to build an house of your own! An enormous experience and certainly it is a decission not moved too hurried a manner. However, ready weighing the pros and cons you’re not, for you have to think about the manner the house will be build. Modern techniques are introduced frequently in the building sector at high speed. Houses are no longer being constructed in a traditional manner but pre-build as a whole or partly in the factory as well. More over not always traditional materials like bricks, sand and gravel are used!

Stoffers Building Corp. has over fifty years of experience with building traditional houses. A pure building trade as it is used ever since.
Our skilled employees construct the foundation with on top a concrete floor upon which your new house will be build.

Wooden Window frames that are made beforehand and grounded in our carpenter workroom, are put on transport to the building location. There they will be positioned and layed by our skilled employees brick by brick into walls that will form your house.

An excellent building process that you, the new owner of the house, can trace step by step by visiting the building location frequently. This can be very great, the more because you can discuss suggested changes of your wishes while you’re there.

However, the traditional way of building a house can take some time. Especially because we’re dependend to the wheather conditions in- and outside the Netherlands.

Just like with traditional build houses, our skilled employees construct the foundation for the Timber framed houses with on top a concrete floor upon which the frame of your new house will be build. The body usually exist of pre-manufactured elements.

When bricks will be used for the outher walls instead of applying wood, the maintenance will not take more than it would for a traditional build house.

Regarding quality, a Timber Framed house does not yield to a traditional build house. Furthermore a Timber Framed house has the advantage of being cheaper in general than a traditional build house.

This is due to the fact that pre-manufactured builded houses needs a longer building time than can be observed. In the factory weeks long periods of time are needed for the preparation to establish the elements together from building materials that have to be delivered.
